Mozambique's estimated postharvest losses in tonnes for millet ranged from 1,204 tonnes in 2015 to 5,204 tonnes in 2003. The estimated loss percentages fluctuated between 10.7% and 11.1%.
Within the value chain, the majority of the postharvest millet loss is estimated to be happening at Harvesting/field drying. In Mozambique, on average the highest quantity of millet production occurs in Tete.
