Cameroon's estimated postharvest losses for maize in 2021 was 261,034 tonnes or 17.7% which had an estimated value of more than 176 million US dollar.
As for nutrition 911 billion kcal were lost, which is the equivalent of more than 1 million people, in terms of annual nutritional dietary energy requirements.
