Eritrea, Barley, 2009

Eritrea's estimated postharvest losses for barley in 2009 was 3,390 tonnes or 9.8%.

In the value chain, the majority of the loss is estimated to be happening at Harvesting/field drying, Threshing and Shelling, and then Transport from field. Highest estimated postharvest maize losses in tonnes were estimated to occur in Debub (Southern).
