Angola's estimated postharvest losses in tonnes for millet ranged from 1,621 tonnes in 2012 to 15,868 tonnes in 2002. The estimated loss percentages fluctuated between 8.8% and 10.4%.
Within the value chain, the majority of the postharvest millet loss is estimated to be happening at Harvesting/field drying. In Angola, on average the highest quantity of millet production occurs in Huíla.
