Angola's estimated postharvest losses for millet in 2001 was 14,159 tonnes or 9.8%.
In the value chain, the majority of the loss is estimated to be happening at Harvesting/field drying, Transport from field, and then Winnowing. Highest estimated postharvest maize losses in tonnes were estimated to occur in Huíla.
